Nicholas Sweet has been racing stock cars at the "Nations Site of Excitement" - Thunder Road since 2003. He started his racing career in the four cylinder Allen Lumber Street Stock division, quickly moving up to the NAPA Tiger Sportsman division after just two years of racing at the Speedbowl.
Backed by an amazing crew chief and large crew composed of family and friends, Sweet was able to win the 2007 Tiger Sportsman Championship. With nothing left to prove in the division, he set his eyes on an ACT Late Model for the following season.
In 2008, Saint J Auto became the primary sponsor for the new ACT Late Model Tour endeavor. The Saint J Auto crew raced at eight different tracks that year in two different countries. Sweet finished the season 9th in ACT Tour points.
Sweet returned to his home track for his 2009 season trying to capture the "King of the Road" title for the 50th Anniversary Season at Thunder Road. The season's highlights include racing against NASCAR drivers Tony Stewart and David Regan and finishing second at the first inaugural ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
2010 was a record setting season for the Saint J Auto team, with wins at both the Merchants Bank 150 and the Governors Cup 100 at Thunder Road. Sweet claimed the 2010 Thunder Road "King of the Road" title with 18 top ten finishes and 8 top five finishes out of 19 starts.
